Our identity is hidden in God.
Thomas Merton: ‘The secret of my identity is hidden in who God is, in His love and mercy. Whatever is in God, is really who He is. God is true to Himself. God functions with perfect integrity. He is the same as His nature.’
Our identity can only be understood within His.
What do we know about who God is?
1. God has perfect knowledge of you. Including every single detail of your entire life.
2. God has complete ownership of you
3. God has ultimate authority over you
