Scripture: Job 6:1-30

Continuing in the study, we see how Job:

  1. Speaks of the severity of his suffering
  2. Solicits God for death
  3. Speaks out against his friends. And from this, we learn the characteristics of a genuine friend
  • Genuine friends are committed in support
  • Genuine friends are reliable not inconsistent
  • Genuine friends stay courageous in every circumstance
  • Genuine friends attempt much
  • Genuine friends give truthful instructions
  • Genuine friends listen carefully not judge carelessly
  • Genuine friends do not undermine friendship
  • Genuine friends acts with integrity and honour
